Save the Windows Mobile flames for another thread. I know the Omnia runs Windows Mobile but thats not what this thread is about. I am wondering why these items weren't included on the iphone. Just look at the spec sheet for the Omnia and tell me why apple couldn't include these items?

The Camera, Video, Audio, and Value added features section especially. 5MP camera with geotagging! Video recording and editing!

i would rather have cups and string than that thing!

I no what your saying about the spec dif but honestly... its no iPhone 3G and doesnt have consistent development e.g. with app store and firmware updates!

Have any of you actually read the original post? I asked why these items weren't included on the iphone, not should I buy the omnia instead of the iphone.

READ....

And my point was because the Omnia runs $900 and the iPhone is $199.

THINK....

You can't ask "Why weren't these items included in the iPhone?" without taking price into consideration.

End of.

Put those items on the iphone and I would pay $899.00 US. My point is that these features are commonplace for lots of other phones.

The price point for the iphone 3G was set so it appealed to a wider market segment to sell more units.

Yes, exactly. And at its price point it has no competition. Stop niggling.

You asked why, we told you why. End the damn thread.
