Noticed the tab to pull down for Control Center seems to be underneath a splotch on my wallpaper. It’s curious. Anyone else noticed something like this?

..he's referring to the splash of colour which is actually over the top of the white horizontal bar:

Yes, that exactly it. Not that I mind it, I just found it odd. I’ve never experienced this before despite typically having colorful and abstract wallpapers on my devices. I can’t duplicate this effect with any of my other wallpapers.

Looks to me like that particular control is transparent, that's all.

I agree. However, it’s not transparent using other wallpapers. At least, not the stock or other wallpapers I currently use. It’s not a problem for me, just a curiosity.

The little bar is semi-transparent. The wallpaper is very vibrant and bright at that exact spot. If you look really closely, the semi-transparent bar actually changes the color of the spot from blue/red to purplish. So the wall paper is actually "under" the bar. If the wall paper were "on top" of the bar, the color wouldn't change.

Does that make sense?

You can kinda see it with the little blue dots on the left side of the bar too. The coloring is different for the splotches "under" the bar.

Yes, of course it does. I didn’t actually think the wallpaper was overlaying the bar ;-) I just though it was a strange anomaly. I’ve been experimenting with others and have found that there are a few that are visible through the bar, it depends on the color. None of the stock wallpapers cause this effect. Thanks for your reply.

The upper right bar is transparent. You can see a small dark dot on the left side of the bar as well. Interesting because the home swipe bar at the bottom of the screen is not transparent.
