Is this anti-reflective coating peeling off?..

brought this mac 3 years ago.... its working fine except for the screen which looks horrible wen its turned off...
i ignored it because it wasn't effecting my work but now the peelings are large and disturbing...
its long out of warranty .... will apple replace screen?... or do i have to use it like this...

Take it to the nearest apple store.

You have "StainGate" and should take it to a brick-n-mortar Apple Store AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Chances are, they'll replace that display with a new one. Free of charge.
