i bought a 3G iPhone the other day, had a funny looking back on it. lady said she bought it in japan. this is an air force base so not surprising. also didn't think much of it bc the 3.1.3 software and the condition. got it home and started looking at it, and it's a Model MB500J.

none on eBay, found one on amazon.co.jp and that's about it.

anything special about them in the states or is this just another 3g?

Is the iPhone factory unlocked or software unlocked with ultrasnow? I'm not sure if you can check which carrier the phone is coming from, but you can check where it was made and other infos on here with a serial number.

no it's not factory unlocked, has cydia and ultrasn0w
