Yes it will be... did u use the crucial memory advisor though just to double check?

Thanks I will order it.

When I used the memory advisor it didn't come up with any 8GB (2x4) kits and also I have seen a thread where the advisor stated a certain memory type wasn't compatible but a moderator in the Crucial forums stated the advisor was wrong in that case.

See this thread for an example of the memory advisor not always being the last word on compatibility.

Crucial introduced special part #'s that cost $5 more to print "Apple Compatible" on the packaging. Then their website tells you that the exact same product under a different part # (and cheaper) is incompatible. It's frustrating, and it's making me reconsider using Crucial for my future RAM needs. I was quite a loyal customer of theirs, too.

So long as it says 204pin SODIMM, 1600MHz DDR3 (aka PC3-12800), it's compatible. CL11 is also recommended as that is the same as the stock RAM.
