Is this dock reliable?

I just got my 16gb iPhone 3G and I was looking through eBay for a dock. Anyone have any experience with this particular dock that allows for charging and has S-Video out?

I've read horror stories here that peeople used this or that from eBay and ended up frying their iPhone. I want to avoid the same. Thanks.

I hope you've realized it's not genuine.
I'm pretty sure that it is a true product, but when it's shipping from China/Hong Kong, it's a pretty bad idea.
Pretty much all eBayers selling from there sell fake items, that don't even work.
And claiming it destroyed your iPhone doesn't do anything.
If you do, you'll have to pay $30 to ship it back to them so they can "test" it.
So, all in all, bad idea.

i've bought some docks on ebay. they work great. although, i have not ipod touch and wouldn't know about this particular one. i'd say look at the feedback, and see what the rating of that particular item shows to be.

also, i was in a TJMAXX this weekend and saw iphone/ipod touch docks there for $5! you might like to check that out. came with a remote too. and usb cable. really cool. thats even cheaper and its instant! you might check stores like that...ROSS, MARSHALLS, even bed bath and beyond...lots of places have generic ipod stuff and you just might find one thats universal.
