When I had my Droid 1, I was able to have an icon of a contact which when pressed would give me the option of calling, texting, or emailing that person. Is this in iOS anywhere?
 
There are some apps like this. Basically, you get to just set the app as the one person you want and that's it. Because of that I think those companies release multiple versions of their apps. Like, one for a sister, one for a mother, etc.

That being said, I don't suggest using those.

I personally use Dialvetica and am very happy with it. It's like Spotlight for your contacts.
