Is this extension for Safari safe? (YouTube download button.)

Does anyone know if this Safari extension is safe? I figure someone would have heard something about it if not.

EDIT: And... it doesn't work. Does anyone know one that does? One that's safe?

I dont know of an extension, but if you open safari's activity window, and find the information regarding the youtube window you have open you can download the youtube video content straight from there (its normally the only file thats in mb instead of kb

EDIT: I got it working for 360p but not 720 or 1080p. Any idea's?

EDIT 2: I did some Googling, and Option + Double Click worked for me.

Yes, it did. The low resolution file downloaded as a .flv but the higher resolution files as something else.

Hmm, I suppose you just want a YouTube downloading tool, right?

I use the Youtube Downloader extension for Chrome. it works pretty well. *shrugs*

plus, i love that it just adds a little button above the drop down details list. it's simple <3

Mmm, I see. I don't use Chrome but I might give it a try sometime, if I find myself needing that extension, anyway.
