Because I saw the the iph5 pic has the same split lines towards the bottom of the phone as iph4 when it came out. They did away with those lines on the bottom on 4s. NoW I'm worried it's the same receptiOn problems again.

They're definitely there on the 4S.

There's no possible way they're going to make the same mistake again.
 
Ummm... the iPhone 4S had those lines you are referring to... Those are breaks for the different antennas. The 4S did not have the "Antennagate" problem so I doubt they would make the mistake again for the iPhone 5.

Have you seen a 4S? Not sure what 4S you have or seen but mines and i'm sure all 4S have the lines at the bottom.
 
I'm pretty sure the band on the 5 isn't part of the antenna anymore, since it's made from aluminum rather than stainless steel like the 4/4S. Aluminum would be much worse to send and receive signals, and is easier to block. The glass inlays on the back are where the antennas are now, acting as "windows" for signal to get through.
