Yes. Ask him for the receipt. ;)

I bet we could! After all it's OUR money.

At the same time, it might be the cheap one because these guys are afraid that if it got leaked he got the maxed out one people won't like it.

If he's only spending a whopping sub $3,000 of the tax payers money he should've went for a 27" so he could've gotten more work done and/or tracked his campaign efforts a bit better!

But all joking aside, who cares?

I can see it now on Fox News and msnbc:

This just in, now former house majority leader spent $3,000 on an iMac

Sorry, couldn't resist ! #

You do realize that taxpayers pay for the office equipment (and all other business expenses) for everyone in government, from the president on down, right?

You should be glad that at least he uses a Mac. At least he didn't spend taxpayer money on a PC! :D

President Thomas Whitmore: I don't understand, where does all this come from? How do you get funding for something like this?

Julius Levinson: You don't actually think they spend $20,000 on a hammer, $30,000 on a toilet seat, do you?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. That movie is just so quotable :D

(from independence day, for those out of the loop)

Someone needs to edit his screen with something more interesting. A video game? You Tube? An IMDb forum? What else do Congressmen really do in their spare time? :D

I would expect a spreadsheet on his screen...aren't we trillions in debt? It's like ever heard of excel or numbers?!?!
