I can't imagine this is legit. It would be worse than antenna gate. It's making me nervous for the phone I just bought.

titanium by nature scuff easily due to hardness level is low compare to others however tensile strength is better . And titanium is not really conductive hence why apple bond with a conductive materiel.

This is why it’s a great materiel for hard use tool . I have a few pocket knife ( folders ) with grade 5 ti handle and the finish is mostly stonewash( to hide the scratches) and it doest not flex which is why it has poor shock /impact absorption in 15 pro max case wont be surprise the impact of those test is being transfer to the weakest point of the device which is the glass

While it adds a wow factor when it applies to a product say iphone but of course it has it cons and pros same like every materiels.

I wouldn’t say it breaks easily. But the iPhone 14 Pro was a tank and out performs it on every test I have seen.

yeah my iphone 14 pm holds up pretty well as a daily driver , while Ti is cool and such not sure is it a ideal materiel for a phone , but then again apple being apple lol

If anything, this gives Apple the excuse to raise the price next time around claiming “using advanced titanium to improve quality”. Or maybe just quietly address the issue like last time on iPhone 6s Plus while simultaneously deny any claim.

Back in the day during bendgate everyone told me my 6 Plus would bend by just looking at it. After 5 years it still hadn’t bend. I think you’ll be fine with normal use.

I've broken mine already. Dropped it from about 3 feet (and not on purpose). No case.

Back shattered.

Yuck. Ya clearly the back glass is way weaker on the 15. They have the Ceramic Shield technology, not sure why they don’t put it on the back as well. The front glass survived in all the tests way longer.

Yikes 3 feet? Sorry about that. I go caseless and need to be careful then, and also get a case for work

Yeah this year model no doubt had a weaker back glass compare to the 14 series, the moment when apple announce that 15 back panel is more modular and they announce that replacement is cheaper for the 15 is basically telling us to that the hint that rear glass is weaker.

from my pov apple knew what they were getting into its like saying “hey u wan us make it easy for repair, this is what happen if we make it easy to repair, but we make it cheaper for the replacement”. I dont think its a bad product but rather i think its all jus capitalism its the same with other major tech company. “ there is always a catch “

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped an iPhone 12 mini. Probably 20 times by now. No issues. This is the standard all iPhones should strive for.

Boo hoo, if you break an iPhone, it breaks 😂 I wish I was so good to make money out of many million views just by breaking stuff. I have to say I'm a bit jealous. Also I don't think I've ever seen a video going viral so fast about a non-issue.
