The fact that the new MacBooks have no FireWire port has made me turn to a black refurbished MacBook with 2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM and a 250 GB hard drive for $1199 CAN.

Will this MacBook be capable of:

iMovie HD
Final Cut Express
Adobe Photoshop
Xcode
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Sims 2

I'm sure it will be able to handle most of those, but I'm asking you guys just to make sure. Thanks in advance :)

the first four are CPU intensive so the MacBook will handle them fine and the 9400m is more than capable of running the graphics of these applications. the 9400m will most likely run those games as well.

He's talking about the Blackbook. It only has a GMA X3100.

Sims 2 should be fine... RCT3 apparently runs poorly on the GMA X3100.
