I noticed a proces named 'deleted' in activity monitor. Upon force quitting it reappears? The attachment is a dump of it.

I have this process on both my Macs. It's nothing to worry about, unless it is taking a lot of CPU or memory

I just ran MalwareBytes. No threat detected but 30 percent CPU?

Maybe, if running low on space. As implied in the screen shot, cache purge daemon:

deleted is a system daemon that keeps track of purgeable space via registered services. deleted listens for low-
space events from the file system and attempts to avoid running out of disk space by requesting that clients
purge space.
