Is this monitor issue fixable?

I have a 2011 13-inch MBP. My monitor has become loose due to mistreatment on my part (I used to pick up the open laptop by the monitor- I have no idea why I did such a retarded thing.) It's usable and everything but it's an annoyance. Also, when I move the monitor back and forth, it makes a sort of clicking sound at one point. I found a guide online right here that supposedly fixes wobbly MBP screens but I have nearly no experience fixing electronics and so I'm not sure whether it would be a good idea to attempt it. Has anyone ever had this issue and if so how did you go about fixing it? Also, is my issue as simple as that of the guy who wrote the guide or is it likely to be worse due to my mishandling of the laptop? Thanks in advance.
