The new dell monitor looks pretty good, but if I remember correctly the prev gen MB can only handle up to 1900 *1200 ish. Does the new alu macbook support higher resolution than the prev's macbook?

Might want to give VGA a try otherwise you're stuck at 1920 x 1200 over a single DVI link.

I don't think you want to use VGA on an LCD though.
