So today my monitor started doing this while editing within final cut pro. i exported the video (full) and then opened in quicktime to compress... when i did, this started happening? I've never seen it before?!

I can't tell if it's the Monitor (it goes away when I bring my cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen - I have it set to "show the desktop" when I do that) but it comes back almost immediatly. Maybe it's the computer itself or the video card?

I'm hoping (Sadly) this happened to someone else that could point me in the right direction. It's still under warranty, however, I have a big project to export now :(

Thanks
(attached are two photos - they're big, if you can tell me how to make them thumbnails ill do that - i just didn't know how... sorry)

That looks like a video card crash to me... I think there were others that had similar looking problems, you might want to search around these forums for that.

Also to make images smaller you can used the "TIMG" tags around them.

<edit> damn, way to slow :p </edit>
