I have a 2017 15"MBP and today I just turned off filevault as some people were saying it was the reason for my screen to flicker when the user log in bar appears.
After it finally disabled now I'm seeing that when I boot up the laptop, I see the progress white bar below the Apple logo (I don't remember if that was happening b4 turning off FV) and after it boots up, now the log in screen is in scaled resolution (When I had FV on it looked like the default biggest screen resolution and it was showing in the menu bar the "Spanish ISO keyboard thing). Apart from the resolution thing, now without clicking on any of the users it shows below my acc avatar this message: "After restarting the Mac the password is required" and when I click on the photo it says "For using Touch ID you need to enter the password first" (or sth like that). B4 these messages weren't showing. And after entering the pass I don't have the white progress bar showing up, just the animated circle that appears when the laptop shuts down and not the black fade in I was getting b4.

I'm asking this bc I tried googling this and couldn't find a lot of log in screen videos of High Sierra neither

It’s normal. It’s how login works on Sierra at least.
Ohh okey I didn’t know it, to be honest it looks more sleek to me login process with FileVault enabled except for the unscaled resolution before logging in
Thank you for answering
