I just downloaded coconut Battery for my 13 inch macbook pro I got the week it came out and it says I charged it 251 times in 9 months.. Is it just me or does that seem like a little much? or should i not be worried..

So you bought it around June and it has 251 cycles already?

That is more than one cycle per day, do you use your MBP that much on battery?

What does Coconut say about battery health?

That sounds like a relatively heavy battery usage. But it depends on how you use your computer. What you should be most concerned about by far is that the computer does what you want it to do. The battery is just a battery. It can always be replaced.

I don't think i use it with out the charger that much.. it says i still have 99% health which is good. but this is still a bit weird.

Have a look at your cycle count via System Profiler, or maybe even iStat Pro.

Wow, that's a lot. Honestly, batteries were designed to be used. Losing battery capacity is inevitable. Don't worry.

I haven't checked mine before (blackbook, about 4 years old). Ive had it for about 2 years (replacement battery) and it says... 91. And the battery holds a charge for about 20 minutes.

That MBP refresh cant come any sooner...
