Is this normal on iPhone 3GS[Battery Life]?

I'm down to 16% since 8:00am(last full charge). It's now 5:55pm.

Usage 7 Hours, 53 Minutes
Standby 10 Hours, 17 Minutes

Some Wifi surfing, some 3G surfing, some music, brightness at 50%, played a few app games.

Okay so I've felt that my battery hasn't been lasting me until night time, it use to on my old iPhone(2g).
But maybe it's because I've been using more of the 3GS lately. I've heard if I gave my iPhone 3GS some battery conditioning, it would be better, so that's what I'm doing now.

Better? Those stats are actually pretty darn good IIRC.
The OP fails to explain what he is doing during the usage time.

You've got over twice the standby time. I wouldn't call that close.

Got my first 3GS on Tuesday. Charged it overnight. Unplugged it at 7:30am. At 2:30pm the phone was dead. A few phone calls, no web, bunch of emails. Plugged it into the car charger for an hour and it only went up to about 22%.

I took it to the SoHo Apple Store. They plugged it into their comp. and ran a diagnostic on the battery. BAD! 7% charge on the battery. They gave me a new phone. The last one in the store.

Now the same thing is happening again.

I've gotten almost 4 hours on my 3GS so far while trying to drain the battery. I'm playing lossless music, have on bluetooth and wifi, have brightness on max, check email every 5 minutes, activated push for mobileme, and refresh a webpage in safari every 15 seconds (automated).
Pretty respectable IMO.

Yes.

The Standby time includes the use time.

Standby time is really not a good label as it is more like the total time since the last charge.

Mine has 16 hours of standby time, and I took it off the charger exactly 16 hours ago.
