Is it normal that browsing Facebook and YouTube on Safari alone drains so much battery? It goes from 100% to 80% in about 2h-2.5h and when I click on the batery icon a message is displayed saying that Safari is consuming too much battery/energy. Or is it because I have brightness set to 100%? 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018 purchased about a month ago, about 40 cycles completed.

That sounds right inline with the promised 10 hour battery life for doing such activities, no?, but brightness being at 100% will be impacting it quite heavily. when in low power states screen backlight is one of the largest power draws.

Also it's not 'too much' energy, it's telling you that they're using a noticeable amount of energy over just being at idle.
