Hi.

Recently, I opened in Photoshop 120 RAW files as layers (at the same time, each file 25 MB). At the same time I was working in Lightroom, having opened Adobe Bridge, Safari, iTunes and Mail.

When files were loading into Photoshop, I checked Activity Monitor. Swap used increased up to 4 GB. Is this normal for such load?

I have Late 2013 rMBP with 2.6 GHz (boost up t 3.8), 16 GB Ram and 512 GB SSD.

Thanks

Of course, with what you have asked it to do there isn't any other option. It has given you 28GB of virtual memory for which it needs 20GB physical, you have 16GB RAM so it is using 4GB of disk to make up the remainder.

Memory pressure is still yellow but then you have max installed RAM so no options other than move to a Mac that supports 32GB.
