The good fake otterbox's out lately are close to impossible to tell from pictures, but side by side, very slight texture and manufacturing differences can be found.

I'd say it's fake because on some of the surfaces you can see "blush" ..typically found in injection mold process when the molder has not dialed in the right dwell time (clamping, cooling, ejecting). Usually, an Otter Box engineer would have specified that the parts cannot have "blush" or "flash" on specific surfaces..so in other words, these are reproductions or knock-offs...the molder is just trying to hammer out as many as possible without worrying about process control.

It's fake, this cost me 15$. I also have a real one and to be honest, I can't even tell the difference, from the appearance down to how the case feel. I mean this is a REALLY good knock off. It's not flimsy like the other knock offs. I had even tried to drop this from my second floor with my old iphone 4 in it, and the case didn't break, the phone still works perfectly fine.

The only way that i can distinguish this from the real case is that on the knock off, it says made in china, and on my real one it says made in mexico. And there's watermark issue on the fake one. I just have to make this post because i was actually really impressed with the quality of the fake one. :D
