Hi, I was wondering about taking out the optical drive of my mbp and sticking in a smaller 32gb or somthing SSD for snow leopard and applications to launch from.

My question is: Is this actually possible ( I think heard of someone on this forum doing it), if it is possible; is it a good idea, and lastly, should I wipe leopard off my normal HDD before or after installing the SSD?

I should also mention that I am pretty comfortable with opening up computers.

Are you comfortable w/ searching?

sorry, not sure what you meant by that image? Wouldn't that just search this thread for answers, which I haven't got yet?

but thanks for answering my question.

It is possible to do on all unibody models, and has been for quite some time, it's been discussed daily if not hourly on here for the last 6 month or so. GGJstudios pointed out a few out of the hundreds if not thousands of threads answering the exact same question.
