Saw an ad on the college bulletin board with a Powermac G5 for sale. 1.6 GHz, 2.5 GB of ram, 150 GB Hard Drive, 17" APple Studio Display, Super Drive, and OS X Leopard installed for $650

Good price or no?

the cpu is only at 1.6, so even if there is 2.5GB of ram i will not recomend to buy this one. I arleady found a deal like this but with a apple 23" Hd display and a dual 2.0GHz cpu for this price

Thats really quite a terrible price. For $650 you should be able to get a top level G5 (the G5 Quad) or at least a high spec dual-core model with the PCIE expansion slots.

Stay clear overpriced
