C cerhard macrumors member Oct 24, 2008 #2 did you get the new aluminum mbp? I'm pretty sure those run DDR3 Ram. DDR2 was used in the older MB(White/Black) and MBP. So if you have the new aluminum pro this will not work.

C cerhard macrumors member Oct 24, 2008 #5 That should fit then. I just got this setup from fry's a couple weeks ago and it seems to work just fine. I had trouble getting the screws out to change it but my buddy had the right screwdriver and we were able to change it it about 2 mins.
