I really love all the new features in Mountain Lion, Safari 6 included. But I noticed in the new secure connection view, the icon that pops up when you click "https" or the name of the company, immediately to the right of the favicon, is this thing.

Is that awkward grey rectangle supposed to be there? Does it represent, say, a generic webpage?

I assume they mean the rectangle I've outlined in fuscia (don't ask). See their original post of the "before" image. It is s subtle shade of grey darker than the background. May not be visible on some displays.
