Okay, so I was playing around with my iPhone and I inadvertently made the slide gesture used to delete emails and text messages, but on a video! What is the point of this feature, and why is it on there?

Could it have something to do with the rumored upcoming movie rentals?

PS: Sorry for the poor quality, I had to use the iSight.

Yes you can delete video's on the go but not music.

The reason is it there is to free up space. The odds are you will want to watch a video once before syncing and then you might want another video. So why not get rid of it and free up some space for pictures, notes, etc. Music you might want to hear the song a few times before syncing.

But what's the point? It seems kind of useless unless Apple is devising a way to download videos right to the iPhone. Or maybe I'm missing something.

Edit:

Oh okay, I think I get it.
