Just part of what is the Datagrab that is part of Google's and US Corporate Technology Companies in general.
 
I always wondered why people who are obsessed with privacy would use a Google phone in the first place.

I love this irony.
So far Google Pixel is the only phone that has proper hardware/software implementation of security features that can be used on custom OSes.

There is perhaps a theory that just keeping the open internet free at the point of use on any device requires giving up a level of privacy. I'm not defending the amount of data Google collect but unlike someone like Meta you are actually getting some well built products in return. Google's web apps are the best out there.

In my head Apple collect just as much data as Google, its just they use it for anonymous product development instead of advertising space. But I can also tell you I've spent more money on new iPhones over the years than I ever had on useless web marketing that shows me things after the fact!
