Those who watched clips of Cook's interview at the D11, tonight, provably have noticed that he took an iPhone out of his pocket.

I honestly think that it could be an iPhone 5S. I mean, why wouldn't he use one? We've heard reports that the device could be in production next month so they probable have a few iPhone 5S out there.

Of course, we've only had a look at the back of it but to me, there are great chances that it could be the next iPhone.

Being that previous iPhone's where always kitted up to look like a different model, I doubt that is a 5s. It may be a prototype of sorts internally, but if there are going to be any external changes, I don't think anyone, especially Tim Cook, would be sporting a new model out in public.

it's an iphone 5. why would an apple ceo risk carrying prototype product in an interview and miss the element of surprise. just like he said, surprise is key.

Well, it's not like Walt or Kara would have said "SHOW IT TO US RIGHT NOW", so he would have been safe to carry one.

I doubt the CEO gives a rip about carrying the new iPhone. He isn't a beta tester. He doesn't want to deal with bugs and issues. He can. It whatever the heck he wants. He's not some fanboy, like we are here, who would get excited about getting the phone into the wild before everyone else.

Also, whether its the new phone or not, honestly what difference does it make? We didn't see anything to prove one way or the other. A new phone is certainly coming. It's not like its a brand new product type that we need to see in the wild to confirm its existence.

The man pulls out what is clearly an iPhone 5, and you ask if it's the 5s.

Exactly. Any phone could be pulled out of his pocket and it could be said to be the iPhone 5S. It is likely an iPhone 5 because it looks just like the iPhone 5. Go figure.

You have to support your argument. "Why not?", "It could be", "I think it is", etc are not supporting your argument. You have the burden of proof for your claim.

I'm more of the opinion that it looks like a 2G in a 5 housing, but that's just me. Also could be a MBP.

Tim Cook's role as CEO is too important to be using alpha/beta hardware for his daily link.

He may have alpha/beta hardware in his office/home. But unlikely carried with him as primary tool.

You honestly think..... OP ?

Goodness, no one in high heaven can tell anything about the iphone he his holding other than it looks like a iPhone 5, and that is it. People have got to get out more and stop this guessing stuff with absolutely nothing to guess at. Or is this thread nothing more than some social therapy one needs from time to time

was about to post the EXACT same thing. Very true.

Yes, yes it is.

It's a 5. Tim Cook with his 'double down on secrecy' would not be flashing a new model some 4 months before it's likely to be released.
