I want to upgrade my 15" i7 Mid-2010 MBP's RAM to 8 GB.

Crucial says this is the one to go with:

I would like to go buy in-store today rather than ordering and waiting, so I found this at a local retailer:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/...ptop_Memory_Kit_(Two_4GB_Apple_Memory_Modules)

This looks to be the same stuff, but I am trying to confirm with a part number/SKU/UPC, but I can't do so since Crucial's internal part number formatting seems to be different than what they give to their retailers, but I'm pretty sure this is the same RAM.

Can anyone confirm if the stuff in the Microcenter link is what I need?

The part number may be different, it may be a different revision. The RAM advertised on Micro Centre will work fine wit your MacBook Pro. Enjoy the upgrade :apple:

Awesome, if I go SSD as well, can I use a 6.0 Gbps SSD even though my mid-2010 2.66 i7 is either 1.5 or 3 Gbps?

Crucial says that one of their 6.0 Gbps SSDs is the recommended upgrade for mine, but I wasn't sure.

Yes, all SATA III (6 Gb/s) hard drives/SSDs are backwards compatible with SATA II (3 Gb/s) & SATA I (1.5 Gb/s)
