I heard today that the 2g ipod touch is now able to be jailbroken, is this true:confused:
 
Ya, soon.
And Apple may allow you to customize it yourself by the time this is done.
The dev team is putting unlocking the iPhone 3G as their first priority.

please tell how you are privy to such info when you say "soon".....:rolleyes:

im willing to bet my bottom dollar that apple will not allow for the same freedom experienced by jailbreaking in its sdk ever

you know why? because jailbreaking has no limits concerning app developement at all and apple will not give up control completely.

hence, jailbreaking will never be obsolete. buuut if you only value jailbreaking for theming, then it that sense it might be "obsolete" by your view of the point of jailbreaking


i mean this is apple afterall. the same company that has yet to give us mms, video recording, copy paste, etc.
