This is my second post right here after i decided to go for a used Mac Pro:D
Here's the spec:

Mac Pro
Model A1186 EMC
2.66GGHz
2x512 Ram
GeForce 7300 GT
250 GB harddisk
Mac keyboard
Included a 20" cinema display
price $ 1520 ,they are in like new condition.

i just check around my local store and found this.is this a very old mac pro?
is it a good deal ? still faster than a new macbook pro ?thanks!!!

It's the first MacPro, that was released in 8/2006 and discontinued in 1/2008.

Yours is the middle model with 2 cpus with a total of 4 cores, RAM expandable to 32 GB....
Look into MacTracker for this.

It's a good deal with a 20" thrown in.

But check it out first, and if there is still warranty.

it should not have the warranty.but can I check it exactly with the series number?

yea, just go to the support page and use the Online Service Assitant. If it is still active make sure you have it transfered to your name.

I think so. Maybe if the retailer you had been on a deal is trusted, that could affect the warranty and longevity of your purchase.
