So, I found NetGear WGU624 Wireless router that is $259 AUD, which I can buy for $113 (no, it's not stolen). So what's the problem? Netgear's website does not list Mac OS X as part of it's system requirements.

So, I wanted to know if it will be compatible with my MacBook.

EDIT: Is this a better choice? DI 524UP-USB Wireless+ 4 Ports

the second. While the first one is compatible unless you buy the special wifi card which might not work, you'd get the same performance as the second one.

i saw the 259 and my jaw dropped. then i saw the AUD and wondered how much that would be American. 204 my jaw dropped again. Is that how much a typical router cost in Australia?

Thanks a bunch Rokem! I'll be picking it up tommorrow for super cheap (the D-Link) for $97 AUD.

Just another question, how many metres can I get with the D-link, and about what speed (connection)?

these unit conversion make my head hurt. 300 feet ≈ 90 meters Is what they claim. I get about 100 feet ≈ 30 meters with my MBP and linksys and I can get a steady 11mbps at about 100 feet ≈ 30 meters.
