Depends on year condition battery cycles and the like.

Best to get refurb from Apple if possible.
Battery not that big of a deal, if low on cycles, then just buy a new battery.

I purchased a used 13" 2010 MBP for $600 in January of 2011

I would pay maybe 500 for a 2010 and maybe 600 for a 2011 - 13"
