Since installing the latest beta, I have had to kick it off and it does not seem to be running by itself (every hour like it used to)?
[doublepost=1503586286][/doublepost]EDIT: Murphy's Law - just kicked off by itself.

I read somewhere that Apple changed the TM auto backup so that it will use an intelligent schedule - only once per hour if this is necessary. Personally I use TimeMachineEditor and set that to initiate TM backups once every four hours.

Time Machine is working fine here, using the latest Public Beta (6). Every hour, one of my three Time Machine backup drives is updated in succession.

Works great for me too, even with an external drive which isn't plugged in more than briefly once every other day. Time Machine makes a backup automatically everytime the system detects the drive. Sweet.

TimeMachineEditor seems to be initiating snapshots in between backups - so even though I set the interval to 4 hours, the snapshots are more regular and only a few MBs big. I have no idea how they work, but on entering TimeMachine I am given the option to restore files from the snapshots. The main TimeMachine icon in the toolbar does not mention the snapshots at all, although they are visible when I actually enter TimeMachine. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks a lot for all the insight. I use TM to backup to Time Capsule and also to an external drive when I plug it in. I'll have to checkout TimeMachineEditor.

Yeah it’s working pretty good now. Not sure why it skipped 6 hours. Checked out time machine editor. Looks pretty cool. Not sure I need any scheduling power, I just want to make sure TM runs automatically
