Is tomorrow too late to upgrade a phone to iPhone plan?

Here's the situation, my Fiance is adding a line for my brother so he can get the phone, AT&T won't open the line in advance so my brother as an authorized user can get the phone and unfortunately my fiance won't be able to be there on Friday morning to add the new line..

If we go to AT&T tomorrow, add a new line, get a phone and sim card, immediately update the new line to an iPhone plan, will this still qualify for the subsidized pricing of the new phone??
