Is updated Safari no longer showing tabs? 14.1.2

Updated Safari yesterday and now can't seem to get it to show open tabs? Only shows one site at a time ....can't see anything in prefs or view or Window to change this? Anyone else have this issue? MBP 2017 BS 11.5 Safari 14.1.2.
Tab bar will only show one tab at a time????

I hadn't noticed, but I no longer use it because it's slower than molasses. Long live Chrome!
