I plan on getting an iPhone 5 from Verizon. Should I get the insurance that Verizon sells for I think $9.95 a month or should I get AppleCare?

What's the difference between the two?

Verizon covers lost or stolen Applecare does not. So if you tend to lose phones you should go with Verizons insurance. Just remember the deductibles are high for a lost device.

Exactly. I personally went with Verizon because I need to rest assured that in case my phone is stolen, or lost, I won't have to shell out $800 for another iPhone. Now with that being said Verizons decutible for the iPhones are really high but I rather pay $200-$300 for another than the $800. Yea it might be refurbished but I'm sure that's how it'll be everywhere else.
