There are a ton of files I transferred from my Vista laptop to my MBP yesterday. Since I just dragged and dropped folders, and not individual files, there are some files I do not want. I try to put them in the trash, it asks me to enter my password and I do, it makes the trash noise, but the item is still there. Other files have deleted fine. What's wrong?

In terminal, I tried to delete the files using the rm command, after I enter my password I get "Operation not permitted".
