I can successfully connect to my corporate VPN network and have full access once connected. IMAP email, browsing internal web servers, etc all works. I am connecting via WiFi.

However, once my iPhone goes into sleep mode, WiFi shuts down after a few seconds (to conserve power I assume).

The next time I wake up the phone, my VPN connection has been disconnected for obvious reasons.

I am wondering if anyone is using the VPN support via Wifi and actually being productive with it. Obviously it works just fine for me as long as my phone is not sleeping, but reconnecting it to the VPN every time I pull it out of sleep mode really isn't very useful.

I have seen a few threads regarding a WiFi "keep alive" mechanism, like "JohnTool", however it didn't work for me (I'm running 1.1.1).

Any input or success stories would be useful.
