Is word processing and web browsing the same experience across the MacBook range?

So I mostly got the non touchbar MacBook 13" for MS Word/web browsing use along with some engineering programs. After using it for a few days I keep getting noticeable stutter in information rich word documents (major reports with pictures etc). Would this happen on the touchbar MacBook or would it be much smoother because of its higher base clock? (2.0 Ghz vs 2.7 Ghz).

edit: the web experience is actually pretty much stutter free, just curious about the word experience.
