Is XBMC for iPad the same as Apple TV

With all the channel repos etc.? If so, I see no reason why I shouldn't just get an ATV3 and use Airplay until it eventually gets jailbroken...

The official 11.0 (Eden) in Cydia doesn't support any kind of TV/video out. Nightly builds, however, are stated to support at least TV out (not sure about AirPlay).
