I currently have gmail as my main email service provider, but I am looking into other providers that offer push email services to iOS devices. Is yahoo mail a safe alternative to gmail in terms of security? Thanks for any replies!

You need to define "safe".

You won't get pregnant from either service, so, I guess, yes, they are safe :D

imho i never feel the free services are safe - it is safe to assume that gmail, yahoo, facebook mail data must be stored & overseen by the NSA as well. It's a free country :)

Im pretty sure gmail can be pushed to an ios device...

It does. I had no problems with this when I had an iPhone.

Gmail push is no longer available to newer devices. I forgot the cutoff date, but if you have a newer device, you can't activate the Exchange service. The only option you have is to fetch rather frequently or have gmail forward to a push email service like Apple's.

Yahoo is garbage. I have gotten hacked many times on it.

Well I'll just say my account was hacked. Yahoo in turn shut down my account and would not let me retrieve any of my emails which included some important items. After many years of use, it came to an abrupt end. I doubt Yahoo is any different then other big email services.

Gmail is much better.
