When I replaced my base model 2012 rMBP 13" with a BTO 2013 model a couple weeks ago, I noticed that I was losing about 15-20% battery charge overnight with the machine asleep in my bag. My old machine was losing maybe 3-5% in the same timeframe.

I'll spare you all the troubleshooting I did but the answer is bluetooth. I had BT disabled on my old machine (mainly to get better WiFi reception, a separate problem).

By default, Mavericks enables "wake on bluetooth" which means any wireless keyboard or mouse will wake the system. But this means the BT radio is kept on during sleep, even if you don't have a wireless kb/mouse paired. I do have a Razer portable gaming mouse that I use occasionally but it's usually turned off.

So, there you go. If you're not using BT, turn it off and you'll not run down the battery nearly as quickly in sleep mode. After disabling BT my system is back to draining only a few percentage points overnight.
