I've seen some posts about people wanting to upgrade to the 4S because they're already noticing hiccups on the iPhone 4 running iOS 5.

I've been running iOS 5 GM on my 3GS for the past several hours and it's been working smooth as can be. Could any of you describe exactly why you feel iOS 5 is slowing your phone down? Or is it just placebo?

Nope , ive runned all ios 5 betas and NEVER noticed any hiccups ; fact is you only notice is ios5 if you pull down the notification center or if you have the news app in the first page :)
