I've never had such a problem before, so I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. For the past few days, every time I open iScrobbler it takes 99% of my CPU and causes my MacBook to jump about 30 degrees in temp.

Tips on what to do?

Hmm, I'm afraid I don't have much insight.. it constantly runs in the background for me and I've never had a problem. I guess all I can say is make sure you're running the new version.
