Just a few musings really on a 15" 2004 PowerBook 1.25GHz running 10.5.8 :-

SideTrack 1.6 - works well, but only 1 finger scrolling and a corner tap for right click. I have got used to it on the PB and my Pismo.

iScroll2 - 2 finger scrolling, a little jerky and less smooth than SideTrack, one finger tap to click is hit and miss, no secondary tap unless you hold the trackpad button down at the same time (and that is very hit and miss).

FFscroll 0.7 - I couldn't get it to work at all; prefs pane would not open ??

So, all in all I have returned again to SideTrack as the best compromise for a scrolling trackpad.

What are your experiences, and are there any other scrolling trackpad utilities I could try?

Cheers :)

I've used Sidetrack on my old TiBook. It's all that would work.

However, iScroll 2 is what I prefer and that's installed on my 17" PB (the 1.0Ghz model still has the old ADB bus for the trackpad).

FFscroll is supposed to support hot corners for right clicking in addition to 2 finger scrolling, but as I said above I couldn't get it to work. When I uninstalled it the output from Terminal couldn't find some of the components.
Maybe if I installed it again then made sure everything was in place by opening the package with Pacifist?

Cheers :)
