can sombody clear up a quick question...I am using am PMG5 with 10.4.9 Can I use a usb web cam now with a mac, or does it need to be a firewire cam???

any experience with this cam

I believe you can use any USB Webcam if you have the right driver for it, which you can use with a program called macam, enables USB cams with iChat.

Well I was looking at the Logitech web cam cause im also looking to buy one.
The Logitech pro 4000 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-961239-0403-QuickCam-Pro-4000/dp/B00006HMPK you can see it there. I found that It has mac osx drivers for it from the logitech support page here http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=1794,contentid=6023. Its worth checking out if you want a web cam compatible with mac
