isight and AOL compatability

I'm planning on getting my parents (in the UK) off of their PC and onto a Mac. The main idea is to be able to use ichatAV so they can see our daughter without a 10000mile round trip! My dad insists on using AOL broadband. I have two questions that I hope someone can help with

1) Anyone have any experience using AOL as an ISP with ichat AV?

2) Anyone any experience using ichat AV internationally (or just to the UK)
