Yes, it works. Just iChatted with my brother in Arizona using AIM on a PC 10 minutes ago.

Any webcam will work. He uses the Logitech Orbit, but, really, anything AIM will see will work. Logitech has never let me down, but I'm sure there are other excellent, affordable cameras out there.
